Reader Reviews:

Submitted by Lucky13 (January 2001) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth book in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. Of course it is very good, as usual. Although there is something a little different about this one. It's really hard to explain so I won't take time trying to. Most of the story tells of Harry's competition in the Triwizard Tournament, a game between 3 schools, Hogwarts included, used to promote international wizard relations. This book is said to be the main part of the entire series and you learn why at the end when... Well, I won't spoil it for anyone. Anyway, I would put this book second on my J.K. Rowling book list (I happen to like book 3 a little better.).

Sharon (August 2000) The fact that I made it through 700+ pages in less than 2 weeks already says alot for this book! Once again Rowling has managed to deliver an exciting, fun and dangerous story to us, and still managed to pull off a great twist at the end! Returning to Hogwarts with all of it's familiar faces and places was like settling into a favorite old chair, it reminds you of an old friend. Yet, around every corner we are discovering something new. The evil presence of Lord Voldemort is much stronger in this book, making it an even more gripping story and after all we've been through with Harry, you feel like to you really need to see it through with him! I was afraid that this book had been "overhyped" with the great anticipation it enjoyed...I was afraid I would be dissappointed in it...but fear not! J.K. Rowling has produced a Harry Potter story true to form. If you enjoyed the first three, you most certainly should enjoy this one.
