Chronicles by Bob Dylan, Volume 1
Excellent book. Vol 1, of the time when he was just starting out, finding his musical focus and meeting the people who would shape his message. Especially interesting about his relationship with Woody Guthrie, probably the biggest icon to him. No surprise that he is a good writer, although not always grammatically correct! But I thought the 4 pages of accolades from various reviews at the beginning were a little much. Good read, would gladly read again, probably will since I skimmed a bit.
Loved his description of Joan Baez- "The sight of her made me high, All that and then there was her voice. A voice that drove out bad spirits. It was like shed come down from another planet."
