| Re: Poem from Walk to Remember
I didn't see the movie, but maybe you mean this one:
St Paul to the Corinthians 13: 4-8 8, 13 Love is patient and kind, it is never jealous, love is never boastful or conceited, it is never rude or selfish, it does not take offence, nor is it resentful. Love takes no pleasure in others’ sins but delights in the truth; it is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes. Love does not come to an end. There are three things that last, faith, hope and love and the greatest of these is love.

| Re: Poem from Walk to Remember
Y'know, if you guys actually looked at what some of these other people have said, you'd take the time to look of the <b>PASSAGE</b> in the <b>BIBLE.</b>
It's not a poem. But since our modern-day society is so lazy to find out things on their <u>own</u>, I have looked it up for you.
<i>"Love is never tired of waiting; love is kind; love has no envy; love has no high opinion of itself, love has no pride;
Love's ways are ever fair, it takes no thought for itself; it is not quickly made angry, it takes no account of evil;
It takes no pleasure in wrongdoing, but has joy in what is true;
Love has the power of undergoing all things, having faith in all things, hoping all things."
Taken from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.</i>
However, In A walk to Remember, which is also my favorite movie, they begin with <i>"Love is always patient."</i>
Hope this helps.
This is the code from where I got this from;

| Re: Poem from Walk to Remember
I just read the book A Walk To Remember over the Christmas holiday and had expressed to my husband that I hoped to see the movie. The passage..."Love Is" as you've all read is indeed in the bible 1st Corinithians 13. I wasn't aware of this until my husband of almost 25 years mentioned when he heard the words that he'd like to have those same words repeated at our 25th anniversary in October 2007. So, just wanted you to know that I feel the same as you about the book and the passage. Bye

| Re: Poem from Walk to Remember
You know I have always taken things for granted but I saw the movie for the first time it was on tv last night at like 4 in the morning and I couldn't look away from it. I know guys try to be tough and hold in feelings but I couldn't with this movie it really opened my eyes to things and it just makes me think so much more deeply. The two of them had more love in a year than so many people have in a lifetime. Id rather have a year of that deep real love and then die instead of being alone for my entire life not having what everyone wants most. But yeah I really liked this poem too.

| Re: Poem from Walk to Remember
Its funny that you are so mad that people don't know this a bible verse, when you don't know its by St. Paul and not Jesus. You could try enjoying the fact that people relate to such a selfless and beautiful idea instead of being such a narrow minded know it all.

I dont know the whole bible verse by heart, but I knew when I heard the first few words of it,
(Love is patient and kind)
I knew it was from the bible.
I cannot believe people thought this was a poem.

| Re: Poem from Walk to Remember
This is a Bible verse... but I understand that some people who don't read the Bible or haven't read 1 Corinthians 13 yet may not know that. And St. Paul did write it to the Corinthians... but I believe the Christian belief that St. Paul was inspired by the Holy Spirit (aka one of the holy trinity aka GOD and CHRIST) in writing this book of the Bible... anyways... I Love this quote. It's gotta be one of the best Bible passages ever. Though Romans 8 and Hebrews 12 are definitely my favorites.. anyways.. I think it really does show all the REAL qualities of true Love. Incredible, just like God :) +
