A question for those who have been to Savannah Georgia...

I have never been to Savannah Georgia (or anywhere remotely near it) and was wondering if those who are familiar with the area feel that
this book gives an accurate "sense of the place"?

Do you think Lady Chablis is the book's most deceitful character or its most honest one?

My thoughts... I think she was the best character in the book and certainly stole the film! Most honest I think, except with her boyfriends!

Yes, I would have to agree that she is one of the book's most honest characters, despite the "surprise" she has for her dates!
I was surprised at the large role she played in the book, just because I thought the book was about the murder, and she really was not involved in that at all. I haven't seen the movie.

I too have never been to Savannah but after reading this book it is on my list of places to visit. I think Lady Chablis is one of the most honest characters. What amazes me is this is a true story and Lady Chablis played herself/himself in the movie. Loved the book....loved the movie.
