when tried to run mount, it said mount not found, tried to run /sbin/mount -t ufs -a, it said the /var and /usr filesystem is not clean, can't mount read/write. please advise what to do in this situation... thanks!!!

    If the filesystem is dirty, you shall have to make it clean before you can mount it. You may be prompted to fix problems :(

    I would try this:

    Boot to single user mode as presicribed above, then run a filesystem check and mount the partitions, like so:

    /sbin/fsck -p
    /sbin/mount -a

    Next, follow the instructions for setting the password.
