It was very helpful in enabling me to backup my FreeBSD firewall server that I run Ipfilter on. The only hangup I ran into was that for some reason the files in my /var slice didn't all transfer over to the new hard drive. So what I did was transfer them over via the 'cpio' command and the new harddrive then booted up perfectly.
