But don't worry- there are very few and rarely will you need to deal with them. ;-) Most patches involve a quick download (a couple lines of code) and a few simple commands to patch the source code, followed by a kernel rebuild. You will want to go to the FreeBSD.org website and click on ERRATA. Scroll down to Security Advisories and read the instructions for what applies to you. I think you will find on average that there are 4 to 6 important security updates per year- which I think is pretty darn spectacular. < | >
