Hello I'm steven I just reformated my computer as well (windows 98SE). I No what I am doing but it seems when I go to control panel>multimedia>it shows no device so I cant play or get sound as well my Volume Control does not even work I tryed many things even re-installing other drivers anything that I should do? or go into the pc repair which I dont want to do please give back some advice! :)~
