Maximum filesize on a UFS 1 volume is about 1 Terabyte - 1% for filesystem over head. So pretty close to 1 TB, in this case 4GB file won't be a problem. There were some drastic restrictions on filesize on UFS when running under Sun < kernel 2.6 but I doubt they apply to you.
