Waikele Shopping Center
This attractive shopping center has dozens of factory outlet stores. It has two halves with a cute "trolley" shuttle between the two sides. Other stores include Borders Books and Music, Eagle Hardware and K-Mart (about a 45 minute drive from Makaha).

Aloha Tower Martketplace
Another nice place to shop, located at the site of the historical Aloha Tower (in Honolulu, about an hour away).

Ala Moana Shopping Center
For a mega-dose of shopping, visit the famous Ala Moana Shopping Center. (also in Honolulu, about 1 hour away)

If you like to snorkel, you can visit the sea turtles that live just off-shore of Makaha Beach. We took this picture with a disposable underwater camera. If you don't snorkel, look for them while you are at the beach, sometimes they will visit you!
